The achievements of Headway Jersey Members - October 2007

My visit to Jersey in April and presentation may have inspired a number of the members to take part in the days events of the marathon weekend.
Gary ran in the 'Headway Helmets' relay team, and they came in with quite a respectable 88th out of 212 teams who completed the race. Their finishing time of 3:47.47 was only 5 minutes different to my marathon time.
I'll have to watch out next year for them beating me!
As well as Gary in the relay team, around 10 members also took part in the Fun Run and all achieved good personal results.
The Headway star though was David O'Lynn who in his first marathon finished in a time of 4:24.34 which as well as being a good time was 2 minutes in front of one of the Headway Coordinators, Mark Harris, who has done several marathons before.
